Ben O’Shea is a native of Seattle, and has performed and recorded with a number of bands including Calexico, Blue Scholars, and Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter; and has also appeared in concert with Johnny Mathis, Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Heath, Conrad Herwig, Ernestine Anderson, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Bobby Rydell, and the Temptations.


Prior to joining the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus 137th Edition tour in 2007, Ben could be found performing with a number of Seattle area groups. Ben is currently living and performing in Albany, NY, is an active member of the A.F.M. Local 14 (Albany) and can be seen with groups like Keith Pray’s Big Soul Ensemble, the Leo Russo Octet, and the Joey Thomas Big Band. He holds degrees from the University of Arizona, Central Washington University, and The College of Saint Rose.
